Lisa Bodnar, 62, of Langdon, ND, peacefully passed away August 2, 2025, surrounded by her daughters at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon.
Lisa Jo Fellman was born November 8, 1962, in Crookston, MN, to Andrew and Bonnie-Lee (Hipple) Fellman. She remained in surrounding areas throughout her youth. She was married to Wayne Scott from 1981 to 1989; they welcomed four children: Amy, Brent, Crystal and Steven. She later moved to ND where she met Douglas Bodnar, and they welcomed their daughter, Dannielle. They married on February 7, 1997, and moved to Langdon, ND, where they remained. Lisa and husband Doug purchased and successfully ran a local business in Langdon before selling the business in 2006.
Lisa was blessed with many artistic abilities. From a young age, she enjoyed sketching which later grew into a passion for drawing and painting. Her artwork subjects were especially focused on animals. Throughout the years, she entered many art competitions and shows winning several awards for her artwork and selling many pieces. Another passion of Lisa’s was cooking and baking. She enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen, concocting new dishes and desserts. She loved to cook for others and entertain. Through this passion, she held several food service jobs, furthering her enjoyment of sharing her gifts with others. Another hobby Lisa took pleasure in was gardening. She could often be found working on her landscaping in her yard; gardening with her mother-in-law, Doris; or at the church helping tend to the flowers there. Lisa always had a project going - be it making jewelry, working on a new artwork, decorating her home or cooking for others. Lisa was also an active member of her church, St. Alphonsus. During her time as a parishioner, she took pleasure in singing in the choir, serving on the altar society, being on the church renovation committee and joining the Catholic Daughters.
Lisa is survived by her children: Amy Scott (Joe Isum) of Crookston, MN, Brent Scott of Thief River Falls, MN, Steven Scott of Climax, MN, and Dannielle (Chris) Lill of West Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Adriana (Adam) Shaver, Kylie Isum, Deondre (Juanita Dominguez) Isum, Isaiah Isum, Landon Scott, Emmitt Scott, Brielle Scott, Enreque Kiem, Izabella Kiem, Aubriella Kiem, Wesley Lill, Avery Lill, Winston Lill, Bianca Lill and Sullivan Lill; great-grandchild Rosemary Isum-Dominguez; siblings: Nonna Fitch, Julie (Chuck) Weems, John Fellman, and Andrea (Bert) Bendickson; and mother-in-law Doris Bodanr She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie-Lee and Andrew; brother Daniel Fellman; sister Theresa Fellman; husband Doug Bodnar and daughter Crystal Scott.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Parish Center in Langdon, ND, with visitation starting at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Langdon.
