Poland, OH - Lisa Marie Burke, 59, passed away July 23, 2025.

She was born May 27, 1966 in Staten Island, NY, a daughter of Margaret (Murray) Balzano and the late Silverio Balzano. She graduated from Middletown High School North in Middletown, NJ.

Lisa was a true Mother to her core. She lived for her children, as well as her husband. She was a happy homemaker and fixer of all things. She was a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen, when her family needed her. Lisa radiated love and compassion for her family and always said, it was her favorite part of her life. She also loved DIY projects, garage sales, thrifting and holidays, her favorites were Halloween and especially… Christmas!

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of almost 35 years, John Burke Sr. and her children, daughter, Jennifer Morio and husband Nicholas Morio, son, John Burke Jr. and wife Stephanie Burke, son, Timothy Burke and partner Anna Brewer, daughter, Melissa Horvath and husband Anthony Horvath; as well as grandchildren, Samantha Morio, Ana Burke and John F. Michael Burke; also her mother, Margaret Balzano; brother, Robert Balzano; and sisters, Margaret Nepper and Anna Papworth.

In addition to her father, Silverio Balzano, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Dill (Balzano).

Private services were held for Lisa at Holy Family Church. She was laid to rest at Poland Riverside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or by visiting www.stjude.org/donate in her memory.
