Lisa "Michele" Colbert, age 63, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Shawnee Senior Living Center in Herrin, Illinois.
Michele was born July 04, 1961 in Centralia, Illinois, a daughter of John and Glenda Mae Colbert (Naile). She enjoyed Theater and Drama while in high school. She attended Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, where she received her Masters Degree in Speech Communication. She worked in Mexico and moved to Marion in 2010 to be closer to her sister and friends.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, nieces, nephews and Centralia friends . She loved her dogs.
She is survived by three siblings, David (Sue) Colbert of Fredericksburg, VA, Michael (Jessica) Colbert of Ashland, and Kristina (Bryan) Madinger of Marion, IL, and her Niece, Kaylee Michele Madinger of Marion, IL, niece Kamryn (Hunter) Beasley of Pittsburg, IL, niece Corrine Alyssa Colbert of Ashland, VA, nephew William (Tania Kinsel) Colbert of Fairfax, VA, nephew John (JD) David of Roanoke, VA, nephew Joseph Colbert of Fredericksburg, VA, and nephew Bryan Jr. Maddinger of Marion, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Rayburn Colbert and Glenda Mae Naile.
Blue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) or to Timber Trail Vet (Murphysboro, IL).
