Lisa Marie Ervin, 52 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 in her home.
Born August 14, 1970 in Monroe, Lisa was the daughter of the late David H. and Diane M. (Kiley) Massingill. She was a 1988 graduate of Monroe High School. Lisa was also a graduate of the Michigan College of Beauty in Monroe.
On June 30, 1989, Lisa married her beloved husband, Guy C. Ervin, Jr., at First Christian Baptist Church. Rev. Guy C. Ervin, Sr. performed the ceremony.
Lisa was a wonderful homemaker and was known for her wonderful baked goods and her delicious meals. She enjoyed tending to both her flower and vegetable gardens. Lisa also enjoyed her fur babies and watching and feeding the birds. Most of all Lisa loved time spent with family.
Lisa is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Guy, two loving children: Curtis G. (Samantha) Ervin of Temperance and Courtney L. (J.D.) Chaffin of Lucasville, OH, two cherished grandchildren: Alana J. and Curtis G. Ervin, Jr., a sister, Lori A. Massingill of Bowling Green, OH and a brother, Dan D. Massingill of Temperance, and her Father and mother in law, Guy and Fern Ervin, Sr. of Monroe.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 2 – 8 pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161, where funeral services celebrating Lisa's life will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11:00 am. Lisa's sister in law, Connie Bryant, will officiate. Interment will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery in Franklin Furnace, OH.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Monroe County.
