Lisa was born October 3, 1977, in Topeka, the daughter of Steven and Iris Seitz Gomez. She attended Holy Name Grade School, Hayden High School, graduated from Topeka High School in 1996 and attended Kaw Area Vo-Tech studying auto mechanics. She was employed by Expert Tire/Firestone, and Home Depot. She was a Master Gardener, part of K-State's Master Gardener program assigned to Shawnee County. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and was the owner of Lisa's Landscaping.
A unique, loving, passionate woman, Lisa was an advocate for those in need. "Truckhenge" was her every Sunday destination for her peace of mind. She was a long-time and well-loved "Bramily" member of the Brass Rail Tavern in Oakland. Lisa was a forever friend and cared deeply for those she loved.
Grateful to have shared Lisa's life are her parents, Steve and Iris Gomez; her sister, Krista Gomez (Angela); her brothers, Nicholas Gomez, Justin Gomez (Jordan) and T.C. Gomez (Rebecca); nieces and nephews, Zoii, Coen, Jordyn, Quentin, Braelynn, and Paityn. Lisa is also survived by a daughter whom she lovingly gave up for adoption.
Family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, September 20, at Mater Dei Holy Name Church, 1114 SW 10th Street, Topeka, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Lisa's cremains will be buried on her birthday, October 3, Thursday, at a Celebration of Lisa's Life at The Lessman Farm & Truckhenge, 4124 NE Brier Rd, Topeka, KS 66616. The time will be announced soon. Please check back here where it will be posted as soon as available.
Memorial contributions to help defray funeral costs may be made to Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614.

I meet Lisa as a SN CO Master Gardener when she chaired the Green Team. I went to her house to pick up bird houses she had made from reclaimed scrap wood. Lisa set me up with paint and brushes to complete the houses for our sales to raise funds for our organization. There were perhaps two hundred or more houses that she had made with designated designs for the different bird species. The one pictured here is designed for Tree Sparrows, painted by another MG and expressing their artistic skills. Lisa was also an artist..for around her house were many reclaimed containers colorfully painted to hold and grow different kinds of plants, .. a phoenix painted at her garden gate. This enormous project was a source of focus for us Master Gardeners during the COVID pandemic. It brought us together in a safe and healthful way.
Lisa, I'll miss your bright smile.
