Lisa Renee Hallock, age 55, of Lansing, passed on November 7, 2025, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer.
Born in Owosso, Michigan, Lisa was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Hallock) Hect and grew up in Owosso.
Lisa was a devoted mother and grandmother whose faith guided every part of her life. Her relationship with God was steadfast, and she raised her children to share in that same faith and love. She was a sweet, soft-spoken woman with a gentle heart, yet she carried a quiet strength and feisty spirit when it was needed most.
Lisa loved people and animals alike. She found joy in simple, beautiful things-tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, spending time in nature, and cooking for her family. Her homemade squash was her favorite. She started each day with a pot of black coffee and enjoyed it all day long.
She shared a special bond with her parents and a deep, loving connection with her sons, daughters, and grandchildren. Those who knew Lisa will remember her as a strong, positive, and kindhearted woman whose faith and love left an imprint on everyone she met.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth (Hallock) Hect, and her brother, Richard Hallock. She is survived by her children, Toleea Hallock, Tawona Hallock, Victoria (Reginald) Porter, Trevor Lyons, Ashley Hallock, Brandi Lyons, Montel Lyons, and Jordan Lyons; seventeen grandchildren; former companion, Victor Lyons; siblings, Rhonda Hallock, Thomas (Melissa) Hallock, Jr., and Rebecca (Johnny) Hall; best friend and confidant, Christopher Bradley; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Services will be held privately.
