Lisa Marie Hicks passed away peacefully on May 20th, 2024 after a three year battle with Leukemia with her two daughters by her side.
Born in Beverly, MA, she was the daughter of Kathleen Hicks (Carroll) and the late Albert Hicks of Beverly.
Lisa was born and raised in Beverly. She graduated in 1983 from Essex Agriculture High School and went on to follow her passion with horses, working on horse farms and race tracks. Prior to her passing, she worked a lengthy career as a food service manager at Market Basket.
Lisa was a fearless warrior, she never gave up. She had a laugh that could be heard across the room. She always looked on the bright side of things. Lisa kept life simple and never sweat the small stuff. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren.
Lisa is survived by her mother Kathleen Hicks (Carroll) of Beverly, daughter Dawn Yazbek and husband David Yazbek of Rhode Island, daughter Heather Hicks of Beverly, sister Pamela Lane of New Hampshire, sister Karen Johansson and husband Dana Johansson of New Hampshire, niece Ashley McAllister and husband Joshua McAllister of New Hampshire, nephew Kyle Johansson and his wife Alexis Johansson of New Hampshire, Aunt Janice Parker and husband Bill Parker of New York, cousin Wendy Parker and husband Eric Chauncey and their two children Trevor and Sabrina of New York.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Jordan, Austin and Brooklynn Yazbek and great niece Adeline McAllister.
