Lisa Meyers, beloved companion, confidante, and dear friend of sixteen years to her husband, Richard, died on December 25th, 2023.
She left behind her husband Richard Roller and his children, daughter Lindsay, son Nicholas, her brother David Stalnaker and cousins, nieces and nephews. Lisa also left behind the grandchildren she loved so much, who were such an incredibly important part of her life, Amelia, Eliza, Norah, Seth, Scarlett and Stella. Lisa's family and friends were very important to Lisa. She loved them with all her heart.
Lisa was born and raised in Michigan. After graduating from college she moved to Texas where she started her family. In Texas she started her career teaching special needs children. This continued after her move to Kansas. After her move she studied for and received her master's degree in early childhood education at Kansas University and taught in the De Soto and the Olathe school districts. She touched the lives of hundreds of children and their families.
Early in 2008 Lisa and Richard met. They were taken with each other from the first meeting and became a most extraordinary couple. Lisa and Richard married in 2014. Having almost sixteen years together they had many wonderful trips and adventures. European trips or day trips to try out some obscure restaurant or watering hole in odd little towns were all enjoyed. They loved their adventures together.
Lisa's family appreciates the expressions of grief, love and the prayers of all her friends and extended family.
A family and friends celebration of Lisa's life will be announced at a future date.
