Lisa Wehking

The memorial service celebrating the life of Lisa Wehking Eagle Bend will be held at 11:00 am. on Saturday, January 20, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Eagle Bend with Pastor Del Moen presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Lisa, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2024, at Astera Health Care in Wadena, MN.
Lisa was born to John and Joan (Davidson) Behsman on November 3, 1972, in Little Falls, MN, and grew up on a farm in the Eagle Bend and Clarissa area. "Home" to Lisa in Minnesota also included Swanville, Owatonna, Waseca, and Sierra Vista, AZ. In Swanville, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, she was baptized, and later confirmed at Sierra Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sierra Vista, AZ. After graduating from Eagle Valley High School, she attended Alexandria Technical College attaining her 2-year secretarial degree. Lisa recently celebrated her 30th year of employment at Todd County Human Services, having worked in various departments such as the front desk, secretarial, child support and finally as an eligibility worker.
After Lisa met Jason Wehking, they were married on December 29, 2001, at the Wedding Chapel in the Rio, Las Vegas, NV, and they made their home in Eagle Bend, MN. With a passion for travel, Lisa took countless last-minute trips with Jason in his semi-truck. Local treks were to get goats or look at farm machinery, and she always had time to take a road trip or a family vacation. She also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Her family never let her forget what her father-in-law often said, " she could catch fish on a bare hook! " Lisa loved animals especially cats and baby goats. She sat in the barn, laughing and crying as she watched the baby goats scampering around. As a loving wife and mother her world revolved around her kids and husband. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for them and was always dedicated to everything she did.
Preceding Lisa in death were her parents, John and Joan. She is survived by her husband, Jason; children, Erin Wehking of Grey Eagle and Jared Wehking of Eagle Bend; siblings, Lori Dittrich of Courtland and Kurt Behsman of Randall; along with extended family and friends.
Burial will be at a later date in Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Eagle Bend, MN.
