The family of Lisa C. Whitney share the April 17, 2025, passing of their beloved sister and aunt.
NORTHBOROUGH
Lisa Carolyn Whitney passed away unexpectedly in her home at the age of 68 on Wednesday, April 17, 2025. Daughter of the late Robert Whitney and Jackie (Watson) Whitney. Lisa is survived by her sisters Judith (Whitney) Bedrosian and Diane (Whitney) Ketrow and husband Bobby Ketrow along with her brother Robert Scott Whitney. Forever loved and remembered by her nieces Prudence O'Connor and Jade Bedrosian, nephews Joseph Whitney and Michael Whitney and her great nephews Izaac Whitney and David Fournier. She will also be missed by many friends and neighbors in the Northborough community.
Lisa was born in Quincy, MA and raised in Northborough, MA. She was a graduate of Algonquin High School, class of 1974. Lisa was a proud member of Algonquin's musical productions and often talked about her role in Fiddler On The Roof. After graduating, Lisa went on to be an assistant kindergarten teacher before discovering her true career as a chef. She spent a lot of her early life traveling to many states and countries all with her best friend Carol Richards by her side. Lisa was a devoted follower of the Allman Brothers Band. Her love and passion for music took her many places. Lisa also had an extreme passion for animals and though she had no children of her own, she always said her pets were her babies and she most definitely treated them as such.
Lisa was a very social soul and made many friends along her life journey. She had a special kind of hospitality and humor that would cheer you up instantly. Lisa truly put the wit in Whitney. She will be greatly missed.
At this time there are no public services planned.

I am beyond sad to read that you are gone Lisa. I loved bumping into you on Lake Quinsigamond in your little boat and stopping to chat about the old days. Hanging out in Northborough and dancing to Tumbleweeds. I will always have a smile when I think of your pretty face and wonderfully fun personality. Find my brother Dave up there and have some laughs. Sending love and peace to you.
