Lloyd Daniel Adams, 83 years old, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, following a brief illness. A native New Orleanian, he was a longtime resident of Metairie and recent resident of Pass Christian, Mississippi. Lloyd attended St Alphonsus Grade School and Redemptorist High School. He was a proud member of the Louisiana National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Miriam (Heller) Adams, his brother, the Revered Harry Joseph Adams, and his wife of 58 years, Gail Peacock Adams.
Lloyd is survived by daughter Lisa Adams, son Lloyd Adams Jr (Kirk Jones), grandson Corey Adams(Brittany), and great grandson Crews Michael.
Lloyd never met a stranger. He loved lively banter. His favorite topics were discussing all things LSU, Mardi Gras (especially Endymion and as a crew member for many years), as well as current and past events (of which he was an encyclopedia of information). He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
To memorialize Lloyd's life and passing, the family will receive friends on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 11:30am-1:00pm. A memorial mass will be held in the J Garic Schoen Chapel at 1:00pm
