Lloyd was born and raised in
Geneva, IL. He was a Plumber by trade and worked commercial construction until starting his own plumbing business. Lloyd met the love of his life, Sandra, and they were married on December 21, 1963. They lived in Geneva until July of 1987 when they moved to
Anderson, SC. They retired in the Phoenix area in 2000. From October 2004 to April 2019, they lived in the Boulder Ridge community where they made many wonderful friends. In April 2019, they moved to Anthem to be closer to their children.
Lloyd was known for developing interesting and varied hobbies throughout his life: billiards, building classic model cars, pruning bonsai trees, buying and fixing up motorcycles for resale, and then bicycles in his later years. He became a diehard Clemson Tiger football fan during his time in South Carolina and rarely missed a game. Lloyd was always "tinkering" in his woodshop, building keepsakes for his family as well as toys for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lloyd was quite the handyman and was able to fix nearly anything. He took great pride in building his dream house from the ground up on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, South Carolina in 1989. Lloyd loved music and shared his vocal talent over the years in the church choir, a barbershop quartet, and karaoke at home.
A celebration of life is scheduled for the end of January. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any of the following.
