Lloyd E. Bybee, 82, of Odessa, Mo passed away on January 12, 2026. Friends and family are welcome to remember Lloyd at a celebration of life on January 31st from 1pm to 3pm at New Horizon Presbyterian Church in Odessa, Mo. Lloyd was born on April 22, 1943, to Harve and Vesta Bybee and graduated from Wheatland High School in Wheatland Mo. He worked at the Lake City Army Ammunition plant for over 30 years. After retirement, Lloyd took up walking around Odessa (over 30,000 miles) for exercise. Many will remember him for his bright orange vest, overalls and ever-present wave.
Lloyd was united in marriage to Patricia Morrow on August 9, 1969, and remained married until her death in 2017. He is survived by three children: Tom (Stephanie) Bybee of Centerview, Paul (Melissa) Bybee of Grain Valley, and Lori (Tim) Ginnings of Lee’s Summit as well as five grandchildren: Courtney (Chandler) Elliott, Kailyn Bybee, Adelyn and Hailey Bybee and Michael Hanavan, and two great-grandchildren: Keaton and Oakleigh Elliott. Also surviving are a brother, Gary (Jill) Bybee, brother-in-law Bill (Brenda) Morrow and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
