Lloyd DeVall, of Sebring, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 85. Lloyd was born on March 24, 1940, in Beloit, Ohio, and spent his formative years there before graduating from Goshen High School.
Lloyd dedicated 62 years of his life to his career at NAPA auto parts, where he earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike with his unwavering commitment and extensive knowledge of the automotive industry. His work ethic and passion for helping others left a lasting impact on those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In his personal life, Lloyd was a loving father to his daughter, Peggy (Doug) Mapes, and son, David DeVall (partner Jaimie). His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Kelsea (Jonathan) Naylor, Douglas (Samantha) Mapes, & Maggie (Logan) Russ, and great-grandchildren, Luke, Oliver, & Kate. They will remember him not only for his love, care, humor, & ornery streak, but also for the stories and wisdom he shared throughout their lives.
Lloyd was an avid golfer and participated in many golf leagues in the area, including Sevakeen CC, Westville, and Twin Springs. He made many cherished, lasting friendships on the golf course. He also had a deep love of the outdoors, and shared many hours with his favorite hunting buddies, Ken DeVall (brother), Doug (son-in-law), and grandson, Doug.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon DeVall and L. Gertrude (Grove) DeVall, as well as his beloved wife, Diane (McKibben), who passed away on December 9, 2021. They married on June 11, 1962, and were blessed with nearly 60 years together. They spent many years raising their family in Alliance, Ohio & spent many happy summers at Sevakeen Lake CC. Their love for each other was a testament to the bond they shared, and their memory will forever remain in the hearts of those they touched. He was also preceded in death by his dear sister, Beverly Ann (DeVall) Filisky.
As we reflect on Lloyd's life, we celebrate a man who embodied dedication, love, and strength. He will be remembered fondly by family that he adored and the friends that he loved as a guiding light and a source of joy in their lives.
