Lloyd Edwin McGee, age 74, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025 at his home in Ecorse, Michigan. He was born on January 27, 1951, to Walter and Helen (Woody) McGee in Highland Park, Michigan. A graduate of Ecorse High School, Lloyd dedicated 32 years of his life to Ford Motor Company as a Material Handler. Throughout his career, he was a loyal and hardworking union member of the United Auto Workers, always standing up for his fellow workers. Lloyd was a man of foresight and diligence-working tirelessly to save enough to purchase property for his family, providing them a place of refuge whenever they needed. Lloyd was a martial arts expert and trained for many years, inspired by the teachings of Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris. He believed in staying healthy and strong, embodying the discipline and spirit of a true martial artist. Above all, Lloyd was a family man who loved the Lord deeply. As an active member of Downriver New Covenant Christian Church, he lived a spiritual life marked by faith and a close relationship with God. Though his stubbornness was well known, he always listened to one true boss. Lloyd's passing was preceded by that of his parents: Walter and Helen McGee; his Brothers: Robie McGee, Alan McGee and Kelly McGee; and a loving son: Lloyd Lee McGee. To cherish his memory, he leaves his beloved children: Catherine McGee and Charles (Danielle) McGee; and Grandchildren: Lloyd W. McGee and Tanner G. McGee. And a brother-in-Christ: Michael Tackett Lloyd's love for his family, faith, and dedication to hard work will be remembered by all who knew him. He leaves his family with treasured memories and a legacy of faith, resilience, and love. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 beginning at 2pm at Czopek Funeral Directors: 2157 Oak Street, Wyandotte, MI 48192. Friends may also gather from 11:00am at Downriver New Covenant Christian Church; 8828 Caroline St, Taylor, MI 48180 until 11:30 when a celebration of Lloyd's life will take place. Cremation will follow the service. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Lloyd Edwin McGee, please visit our floral store.
