Lloyd Williams was born in Westmoreland Jamaica on October 21, 1937. He was the
tenth and last child of Joseph and Francis Williams. He migrated from Jamaica to
England in 1956 at the age of 19 and then returned to Jamaica at the age of 24. Upon
his return he established himself as an entrepreneur and well-established businessman
in the Sav-la-Mar community. In his later years, Lloyd became an active member of the
Sav-la-Mar Seventh Day Adventist Church in his hometown in Jamaica. He along with
his wife, Joyce Williams (who preceded him in death) were well known in their
community. He was a mental and emotionally strong man who lived his life with great integrity and
was committed to his family. He loved his family fiercely and was always there as a
rock for his children and grandchildren!
Lloyd and Joyce Williams migrated to the United States around 2010 to be nearer to
their children and grandchildren in South Florida. During this time, many fond memories
were made at family gatherings that they hosted, which featured their delicious home
cooking meals. After the passing of Joyce, Lloyd continued to bring the family together
and enjoyed preparing delicious meals for everyone to partake in.
Lloyd is survived by his four children, Ian, Sonia, Dawn and Karen, 8 grandchildren-
Kian, Mikalei, Shanelle, Kaneisha, Brandon, Alexander, Sarah, and Isabel, great
granddaughter, Mackenzie, Sons-in- law, Peter Gordon and Daniel Negron and
daughter-in-law, Carrel Wint and two great grandsons-in law, David Chen, Esq and
Matthew Frias, Esq and many members of his extended family including nieces,
nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Ines, Miguel, Astley, Arnold, Stainton, Elias, Masie,
Ivey and Melvin.
Lloyd Williams will especially be remembered for his generosity and love to many
including, many in his community where he grew up. He was a man of principle and
believed in being truthful and honest at all costs. He will be greatly missed and was
loved more than words can express!
MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE
