Logan Allen Johnson, age 26, of Akron, passed away tragically and unexpectedly on August 20, 2024. He was born on May 11, 1998 to Jeff and Gina (nee Smith) Johnson in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Waterloo High School in 2016. He spent his last two years of high school at Maplewood Career Center where he obtained an autobody certificate.
Logan worked as a handyman with his father.
He loved baseball and spent 9 years of his life playing. Logan was a wonderful father and cherished his daughter more than anything.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Logan is survived by his loving parents, Jeff (Lisa) and Gina Johnson; daughter, Julie Johnson; siblings, Jeremy (Amber) Steele and Leanna (Walt) Logsdon; mother of his child, Torie Foley; nieces and nephews, Landon and Lincoln Steele and Faith, Marissa and Corbin Logsdon; Nana, Rita Smith; furry friend, Rosco; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Martha Brown, Eugene Smith and Jimmie Johnson; and aunt, Julie Zamouzakis.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305) on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4pm until the time of his funeral service at 6pm.
