Lois Marie (Genter) Johnson, Born December 19, 1928, in Watertown, New York, got her wings and entered Heaven's Gates, on June 14, 2024, in Minden, Louisiana.
Lois was a loving and caring mother; she leaves behind loads of fond memories to all whoever had the opportunity to know her. Lois was a foster mother for many years. She was a Sunday School Teacher and enjoyed music and singing. She played the Guitar, Banjo, Harmonica and Ukulele, and was part of a small-town Blue Grass Band in her earlier years. Later in life she took an interest in writing poems. She met the love of her life, (George Johnson), in 1945 at the age of 17, they were married on February 2, 1947, and never parted until George's passing on June 5, 2012. Lois remained vigilant in reciting her poems and singing songs for the residents and nursing staff in the Nursing Home she was a resident.
Lois is survived by her children, Diane L. Johnson, William E. (and Ellen) Johnson, Raymond G. Johnson, Steven Johnson, Grand Children, George Johnson, Ashley (and Phillip) Nelson, Zachary R. Johnson, Hannah Carr and Lilly Johnson, Great Grand Children: Tyler A. Samson, Jeffrey W. Johnson, Malakai Nelson and Serenity Nelson. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Pachoud, and many nieces and nephews.
RIP Mom, you will forever be in our hearts.
