Lois Rathburn Obituary

Lois Marie Rathburn, age 62, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Erie on January 20, 1963, daughter of the late Warren and Mary Jane (Szumigala) Rathburn.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Rathburn; and sister CeCelia (Rathburn) Alexander. Lois is survived by her fiancé, Carl Briggs; her son, Carl Patrick "C.J." Briggs; three brothers, Charles, James (Genevieve) and Michael Rathburn; one sister, Clara "Sis" Woodard (Herman) and many cousins.
Lois loved cooking, crocheting and word searches. She loved her family very much and was proud to be "Aunt Lo-Lo" to many of her nieces and nephews. Lois' memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Per Lois' request, no visitation or calling hours will be observed. As she often said, "If you can't come see me while I'm alive, I don't want you to come see me when I'm dead."
Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Burial at Erie County Memorial Gardens will be private at the convenience of the family. Condolences may be sent to www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.
