Lois M. Sharon (Noakes) 9/29/1945 – 5/11/2025 of Greensburg, PA, passed away peacefully and will join our heavenly father. Lois valued her faith, and it was a driving force behind her activities. She volunteered with the Delmont Lions, The First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg as a Sunday school teacher, a den mother for scouts and with Hempfield Manor as an activities volunteer.
Preceding in death was her loving husband, Donald A. Sharon (2020). Don retired from U-Haul as a manager, prior to that, was a purchasing agent for steel companies in Jeannette and Pittsburgh. Don's real passion was music. He picked up his saxophone and formed the Don Allen Quartet, which became the Don Allen Band, playing jazz, standards, and the hits of the era. If you attended a wedding, a dance or nightclub in the 1970's or 80's, odds are you heard him play. He coached little league baseball for years (Lois helped, too!) No matter what curve ball life gave them, they found comfort, solace and strength in each other and will be fondly remembered for that.
They are survived by their daughter, Jennifer Sharon and their son, Kenneth Sharon (Katie) and three grandchildren, Ryan, Jack & Megan. She is also survived by her loving sister, Rita Wiseman (Larry) as well as extended family.
There will be no services. Special thanks to the staff at Hempfield Manor for both of their care.
Professional services entrusted to Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home & Crematory Ltd; 930 Center Avenue Blawnox, PA, 15238; www.thomasmsmithfuneralhome.com.
