Lois Ann Touma, age 92, of Port Huron, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, at the Blue Water Hospice Home in Marysville. Born on February 16, 1932, in Port Huron, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas James and Rose Mary (Jokie) McDonald.
Lois attended Port Huron Area Schools and she was the manager of Anne L's in Port Huron for 17 years. She later continued at Hayes in St. Clair.
She is survived by her loving son, Charles (Diane) Cummings of Port Huron; her adoring grandchildren, Scott (Rachel) Cummings of Lexington, Stacy (Jeff) Cowley of Lake Orion, and Jennifer (Carien) Dees of St. Clair Shores; and great-grandchildren, Brady, Matthew, Adelynn, Amelia, Evan, Benjamin, Finley, and Bodhi.
Lois was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Sondra Lynn Lee, whose memory remained a guiding light in her life.
Lois had an enduring love for animals. She loved cooking and was always eager to collect new recipes. Shopping was more than a pastime for Lois, it was an adventure. She delighted in discovering treasures at thrift stores, each find sparking a story or a memory to share.
A celebration of her life will be held on December 28, 2024, at Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center, 4521 Ravenswood Road, Kimball, MI 48074. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and a memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Dr. G. Patrick Thompson will officiate. A reception will follow in The Lindke Hall at Grace Memorial.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory are suggested to the Blue Water Area Humane Society
