Margaret "Lois" Williams, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, at the age of 86. Born on June 12, 1939, in Southampton, Lois lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and love.
She graduated from William Tennent High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education from Arcadia University, then known as Beaver College, where she majored in Physical Education and Health. Her commitment to education was evident throughout her career as she taught and inspired countless students in the Council Rock School District as both a teacher and field hockey coach. She later continued her teaching career in the Centennial School District, retiring after 37 years of unwavering service.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Lois expressed her love for music through her involvement with the Centennial Singers of Warminster, where she served as both a member and librarian, and held a position on the Board of Directors. Her passion for song extended into her church life as well. She was actively involved in the former Johnsville Reformed Church, where she touched many lives as the Choir Director, Sunday School teacher, Youth Director, and through numerous other activities. After Johnsville's closing, she became a cherished member of Addisville Church, where she participated in the choir, bell choir, Bible studies, and many other beloved activities.
Lois was an avid sports fan, especially of the Phillies and Eagles. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her joy for running, walking, gardening, and traveling to her mountain house.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Edward Bangs; her beloved husband of 51 years, Harold Williams, whom she married on June 18, 1966; her sister-in-law Patricia Bangs; and her nephew-in-law Bob Richey.
She is survived by her son Shawn Williams, grandson Ryan Williams, brother Edward "Ned" Bangs, nephew Steven Bangs and his wife Danielle and their children Matt and Kate, niece Linda Richey and her children Andrew and Bobby, and her cousin-in-law Lee Gibson and his wife Joanne and their family.
Lois's family will welcome relatives and friends on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM at Addisville Church, 945 Second Street Pike, Richboro. A celebration of her life will follow at 12:30 PM.
On Tuesday, January 27, 2026 a procession forming at 10AM at Campbell and Thomas Funeral Home, 905 Second Street Pike, Richboro, will proceed to the interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery with departure set precisely at 10:15 AM.
In accordance with Lois's wishes, guests are encouraged to wear colorful clothing not only to her visitation and funeral service but also to the interment in honor of her vibrant spirit. In lieu of flowers, donations to Addisville Church, 945 Second Street Pike,
Richboro, PA 18954 would be appreciated by her family. Lois always said that the church was truly a family, and she cherished being part of its many activities.
Lois Williams's life was a beautiful testament to her love for family, faith, and community. Her legacy of kindness and inspiration will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
