Lola Jeanette Needham

 

Lola Jeanette Needham, known affectionately to her loved ones as Jeanette, was born on January 21, 1953, along with twin sister, Annette Harrison, in the quaint town of Dyer, Tennessee. She passed away unexpectedly on October 11, 2023, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN, leaving behind a legacy of love, selflessness, and thoughtfulness.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer, TN. Burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sidonia. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 11AM until service time.

Jeanette was a beacon of strength and love within her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Frazier; her son, Tim Brown; her great-grandson, Sawyer; sisters, Patricia Jones, Golden Eddlemon, Judy Burnett; and brother, Willard Frazier.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Johnny Needham; her beloved daughter, Lori Brown; bonus son, Mike Needham (Tiffany); her cherished grandchildren, Heather Brown VanDyne (Ryan), Aubrey Vanalstine, and Loegen Brown. Jeanette was also a proud great-grandmother to Jace, Will, and Jack. Her siblings, Annette Harrison (Rex), Becky Morgan (Ed), Betty White, Homer Frazier, Billy Frazier, and Clarence Frazier - will remember her fondly and miss her deeply.

Jeanette was a hardworking woman who retired from Emerson Motor Company in 2004 and later from ARJ as a forklift operator. Her dedication and commitment to her work were an inspiration to all who knew her. However, it was her life outside of work that truly defined her.

Jeanette had an undeniable passion for gardening and was known for having the best yard in the neighborhood. Her green thumb was legendary, and she was often seen shopping in the clearance plant section at Lowes, always on the lookout for new additions to her beautiful garden. She also used her gardening skills to create stunning floral arrangements for the town of Dyer and her many friends.

One of Jeanette's most endearing qualities was her love for animals, particularly stray cats. She had a soft spot for these feline friends and would either find them loving homes or welcome them into her own. Her compassionate heart extended to all creatures and was a testament to her selfless nature.

Jeanette's love for her family was evident in her cooking. Her famous Thanksgiving stuffing and Sunday morning ham and biscuits were the highlights of many family gatherings. These dishes, prepared with love and care, reflected Jeanette's warm and nurturing spirit.

Jeanette was known for her spitfire attitude, a trait that endeared her to many. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy is one of formidable strength, boundless love, and unwavering commitment to her family and community. She will be remembered as a beacon of light, a pillar of strength, and a woman whose love knew no bounds.
