Lon "Bo" Chaney, Jr., age 66 of Bremen, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 15, 1958 in Carrollton, he was the son of the late Lon Chaney, Sr. and the late Oma Jo Lowrey Bush.
A 1976 graduate of Temple High School, Bo went on to work in Power Line Construction and was a master of climbing power poles. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping and spending time with his blue heeler, Taz. In his spare time he enjoyed watching old western movies.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 40 years, Darles Posey Chaney; his sons and daughter-in-law, Randy Chaney of Bremen and Scott and Anna Chaney of Richlands, NC; his daughter, Brittany Keeton of Bowdon; and his precious grandchildren: Chelsee Chaney Goff of Yigo, Guam, Bo Chaney of Bremen, and Zoey Keeton of Bowdon. Also surviving are other extended family members and many friends.
A gathering and visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel, from the hours of 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Following the visitation time, Bo will be cremated.
The family would like to send special thanks to Tanner Hospice for their kind and compassionate care, especially Suzann and Peaches.
