Lonnie Lu was born on July 14, 1942, in Riverside, California, to Lon Creighton and Marjorie Marie (Scott) Stevenson. She grew up in Riverside and graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1960. Following her calling to care for others, she went on to earn her nursing degree from Riverside Community College.

In 1961, she married the love of her life, Gerald "Lee" Anderson, in Pedley, California. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, and service.

Lonnie Lu dedicated her professional life to nursing, working in the emergency room at Perris Medical Center in Perris, California. She rose to the role of ER Charge Nurse, where she served with compassion, strength, and steady leadership until her retirement. After relocating to Crowder in 2004, she quickly became part of the community.

Faith was central to Lonnie Lu's life. She was an active and faithful member of Saving Grace Ministries in Crowder, where she worshipped, served, and encouraged others. She was also deeply committed to her civic and political involvement. A proud and staunch Republican, she served as President-at-Large and Chaplain of the Pittsburg County Republican Women's Club, as well as a member of the Oklahoma Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women. Her dedication to her values took her to state and national conventions, where she represented both her community and her convictions with passion.

Above all, Lonnie Lu was devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lon and Marjorie Stevenson, and by her beloved son, Michael Lee Anderson.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lee Anderson; sons, Gary Anderson and Stephen Anderson; grandchildren, Nykole Kahoalii, Shane Anderson and wife, Lindsey, Jacob Anderson, Julie Anderson, Blake Anderssen and wife Ali, Ashley Hudson, Kacie Marie Anderson, Shae Anderson well as her 9 great grandchildren with one on the way. She also leaves behind her brother, Scott Stevenson and wife Donna; sister, Cheryl Cope; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of dear friends who will miss her dearly.

Lonnie Lu will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her generous spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and her commitment to service both in her community and beyond.
