Lora M. Sites, 86, of Columbus, Indiana, died peacefully at Our Hospice on May 31, 2025 surrounded by several members of her family. Lora was born to Herman R. Wagner Sr. and Edna Mae Wilhoit Wagner, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 14, 1939.
She is survived by her children, Anita (Keith) Martin, Kimberly Marciano, and John (Lynn) Ciemnieski; her step-children, Charles, James, Sarah, Gary, Brian, John, and Chuck. She also was a grandmother to 27 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Lora loved her family and loved spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman R. and Edna M. Wagner, and her husband Charles H. Sites.
Lora was a stay-at-home mom until her children were grown. Once her children had started making lives for themselves, Lora worked in retail and in banking. She was a member of The Ridge Church in Columbus, and she enjoyed camping, boating, traveling, watching the Pittsburg Steelers, as well as spending time with family and friends.
A funeral service celebrating Lora's life will take place at 1:00 pm Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of services Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
