Born on October 2, 1943 in Corning, NY, he was the son of the late Loren and Virginia (Darcangelo) Hall. David was a graduate of Corning West High School. He married Gertrude McCoon who predeceased him on January 17, 2012. David worked as a Corning City Firefighter before beginning employment as a ceramic engineer for Corning, Inc., retiring with over 30 years of service.
David enjoyed watching NASCAR. For many years he worked as a flagger for the races. His greatest joy in life was his children and grandchildren - he will be greatly missed.
David is survived by his children: Linda Hall of Corning, Stuart Hall of Corning; grandchildren: Anthony, Gina, Loren, Landyn, and Hallie, Hallie's mother, Melissa O'Dell; siblings: Jen Sechler and Kim Smith Hoffman; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his son, Frederick Hall; and sister, Linda Smith
A Celebration of Life to honor both David and Fred will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 12:00 to 6:00 pm at the pond at Denison Park, Corning. Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
