Lorenzo Carrasco Sr of Aurora passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 25, 2025. Lorenzo was born in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico on August 10,1936, the son of the late Arcadio Carrasco and Maria de la Luz Marrufo.
He leaves behind a beloved wife, Andrea Salas Carrasco, of 64 years. He was a loving father to Irma Carrasco (+ Silverio Davila), Elvira Carrasco (Dante Lagatao), Martha Ozoa (Christopher Ozoa), Lorenzo Carrasco Jr, Maria de la Paz Goltz (Dennis Goltz), Lucia Hernandez (Tomas Hernandez), and Victor Andres Carrasco (Erica Carrasco).
He was a loving grandfather to Claudia Garcia (Walter Garcia), Chelsea Fechner (Jeffrey Fechner Jr.), Luis Carrasco, Krystal Bumalay (Matthew Bumalay), Autumn Ellis (Logan Ellis), Jose Carrasco, Catherine Lagatao, Lucette Hernandez (Nico Doronila), Austin Goltz (April Goltz), Daniel Lagatao, Margie Hernandez, Daisy Carrasco (Andrew Cepeda), Darien Goltz, Lesley Hernandez, and Raul Carrasco.
He was a loving great grandfather to Anthony Carrasco, Andrew Carrasco, Nathan Garcia, Audrey Goltz, Olivia Garcia, Andres Carrasco, Liam Bumalay, and Sebastian Carrasco.
He has been reunited in Heaven with his daughters Yolanda, Angelica, and Andrea, as well as his son Jose Luis Carrasco.
Visitation will be held on Friday August 1, 2025 from 3pm to 8pm at the Healy Chapel, 370 Division Drive, Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 2, 2025 at 9am at St. Nicolas Church, 308 High St, Aurora, IL 60505, followed by burial at Queens of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162.
