Lori Gaye Rappa Ruberti (nee Rickerson), whose laughter could light up a room and whose kindness lingered long after the jokes, passed away on August 27, 2025, at the age of 82. Whether she was cracking a joke that made you blush or o ering a hug that made everything better, Lori lived with a rare blend of mischief and warmth that will live in our hearts forever. Born on May 1, 1943, in Meadville, PA to the late Lorian and Gaynell Rickerson. She graduated from Penns Grove Regional High School in 1962. Lori wore many hats throughout her lifetime working several odd jobs, but her most precious one was being a mother to her boys. She ensured that her boys were raised with strong values, a sense of responsibility, and faith. Her focus on their upbringing was not just about discipline, but also about nurturing character, compassion, and integrity. She instilled lessons in her boys to be passed down for generations with the love that she gave so freely. Lori was always a resilient and high-spirited woman. She loved to sing and dance, as she did it often, even being nicknamed "Songbird" in high school. Lori had a deep passion for using her creativity to bring to life the things she pictured in her head. She loved arts and crafts, particularly crocheting and ceramic arts. It should be no surprise that in the computer age, she started honing that creativity to design graphics, websites, and heartfelt videos that reflected things she loved the most. She embraced evolving technology with enthusiasm and found joy in sharing her life stories and favorite recipes on social media. She had formed a special bond with a group of women who shared her admiration for Elliot Yamin. Together they became known as the Moosak Sisters. Although these women lived near and far, they had an incredible community of friendships to last a lifetime. Lori is survived by her loving sons, Je rey Rappa and Timothy Rappa (Patricia). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart, Pasquale Rappa Jr. as well as her second husband Anthony Ruberti Jr. Sadly, Lori was also preceded in death by her younger siblings, Julie Crispin and David Rickerson Sr. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11AM. The service will be held at St Joseph's Cemetery located at 290 Swedesboro Paulsboro Road, Swedesboro, NJ 08085. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center, https://www.homewardboundnj.org/donate.
