William "Bill" McCann Sr., 74, of Upper Pittsgrove passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025 peacefully at home after a long battle with multiple cancers. Bill was born on January 26, 1951 in Harrison Township to Joseph and IvaLee McCann. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy (Wojculewski) McCann; sons William Jr. (Emily) and Gregory Sr. (Kelly), and daughter Michelle Hughes (Craig Jr.); 11 grandchildren Jay Mauger (Kristen), Kristin Brown (Edward Jr.), Craig Hughes III (Hannah), Gregory McCann Jr. (Alexis), Taylor Hughes-Bailey (Brendan), Matthew McCann (Layne), Earl Hughes (Katherine), Joseph McCann, Shannon McCann, Haley McCann, and Kendal Hughes; 14 great grandchildren Mason, Kinsley, Caiden, Archie, Eddie, Maverick, Evelyn, Jaxon, Craig IV, Kiera, Harley, Melody, Isaiah, and Riley. Bill is also survived by his sisters Joyce Mead, Nancy Humphrey, Linda Eller, Cathy McCann, and brother George McCann Sr. Bill is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, sisters Margaret Krupic, Markalena Williams, brothers Wallace Rogers Sr., James McCann Sr., and his twin brother Joseph McCann. Bill will be sadly missed by many and many nephews and nieces. Bill worked as a machinist for Kimbles Glass/Owens-Illinois in the tube alley for 43 years, retiring in 2020. After retirement, Bill could be found tinkering around in his garage or his workspace in his basement. Bill had a love for lawnmowers and tractors. He owned many and enjoyed fixing and working on them. They were his "prize possessions." Bill took up a hobby of being the local "Sanford." He would hop in his truck and go junking. He would visit family and friends, and even the side of the road to see what treasures he could find. Nancy would never know what he would be bringing home next, but he always had a plan for it. If anyone ever needed a part or a tool or anything, they knew to stop by Bill's because most likely, he would have what they were looking for. But, his greatest joys of all were his wife and family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids, who simply knew him as "POP." Services will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. There will be a visitation starting at 10 AM leading to a time for friends and family to share stories at 11 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given in memory of William McCann Sr. to the Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Medicine at the following address: Abramson Cancer Center Perelman 2nd Floor West 3400 Civic Center Boulevard Philadelphia, PA 19104-5127
