Ms. Lorine Hill Obituary Ms. Lorine Jackson Hill, age 83, of Statesboro, GA., passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Heritage Inn and Rehabilitation Center in Statesboro, GA, under the care of Affinis Hospice.
She was a Bulloch County native and a graduate of William James High School, Class of 1959. She was employed with Georgia Grace Nursing Home (Herbert Riggs Family) for many years and Bulloch Memorial Hospital, today known as, East Georgia Regional Medical Center, where she worked in the Intensive Care Unit and eventually retired from there as a certified nurse assistant. After retirement, she began working for Dr. Aseron as a caregiver.
Ms. Lorine was a member of the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the Church Choir. She was very active in many other ministries of the church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, baking various cakes and pies and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Virginia Jackson; brothers, Lee Willie Jackson and Geald Moses Jackson.
She is survived by her children, Fred (Terri) Hill Jr., Brooklet, GA, James Walter (Stephanie) Hill, Columbia, SC, Alvin Dewayne Hill, Atlanta, GA, Jennifer Hill, Conyers, GA and Kevin Christopher Hill, Statesboro, GA; sisters, Grace (Leroy) Safford, Statesboro, GA Carolyn McCullum, Atlanta, GA; brothers, Harvey Jackson, Maurice (Kim) Jackson, both of Statesboro, GA and Harold (Carolyn) Jackson, Statesboro, GA; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 6:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Chapel, 238 West Main Street, Statesboro, GA 30458.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11:00a.m. at Miller Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 7829 GA-24, Statesboro, GA 30461. Rev. Craig R. Tremble, Eulogist.
Ms. Lorine will lie-in-state from 10:00a.m. - 11:00a.m
Interment will be at the Bulloch memorial Garden, 22002 US-80, Statesboro, GA 30459.
We will adhere to CDC guidelines.
Friends may sign the online register book at www.craigrtremblefuneralhome.com.
You may send flowers to the family through our floral store, an independent florist will make delivery according to your instructions.
