Lorraine Ann Lilley, known to friends and family as "Bunny", passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 73, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Born January 26, 1952, Lorraine was defined by her brilliance, determination, resilience, and her incredible generosity.
Lorraine earned a degree in Mathematics from Ripon University, starting her professional life in California with the Mars Corporation, ultimately retiring and moving to Cedar City, where her mother, Lorraine B. Lilley, later moved to live with her.
Despite decades of advancing MS, Lorraine refused to let her condition limit her spirit or her ability to help others. She dedicated herself to giving talks on positive attitude and perseverance at local prisons and juvenile detention centers, creating a wide and loving community through her determined effort.
Her inspiring devotion to service was widely recognized, and she was honored with an award from the Points of Light organization (founded by President George H.W. Bush) for her profound community contributions.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine B. Lilley, and is survived by her brothers, Ernest David Lilley and Theodore Bosworth Lilley, her nephew, Quintin Lilley, and a devoted team of friends and caregivers whose lives she deeply enriched.
There will be a wake on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Southern Utah Mortuary
190 N 300 West Cedar City, Utah 84720. Instead of flowers, please consider donating to one of Lorraine's favorite charities, the Family Support Center of Southwestern Utah, or Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah. To leave online condolences please visit www.mortuary.org.
