Lory Kline Pierce

Lory Kline Pierce, 66, of Los Gatos, California, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, following a sudden illness.
Lory was born Loreta Geneta Alvarez on Friday, March 13, 1959. Lory grew up in San Jose, and Milpitas but lived primarily in Los Gatos, CA. She was a graduate of Milpitas High School and worked as a successful sales representative for several companies, ultimately finishing her career with Stephen Young and Mary Hada Inc. She served her many customers for the past 27 years. She loved the companionship of her friends and sisters and loved shopping, sewing and creating things with her hands. She loved spending time at the beach, taking long drives, hiking and walking the dogs. Hosting parties and gatherings, celebrating holidays were always a highlight in her days. Lory was always active and ready for any adventure many she created for herself and others.
After many years of searching, Lory found Larry who embraced her spirited nature. And although she hated flying, she loved Maui where she and Larry were married in 2024. Lory hosted her own daily weather report for the past 7 years on Instagram and Facebook. She rarely missed a day inviting everyone to "Tell me what the weather is like where you are."
Lory is survived by her husband, Larry Pierce, of Los Gatos, her mother Alejandra, and her sisters Rose (Dewey); Pat; and Arline (Mark). She was preceded in death by her father, Alipio, and sister Alice (Jeff). She leaves her beloved nephews and nieces Anthony (Caitlyn), Lindsay, Erin (Sean) and David, and her great nephews Grayson and Kennedy, who will always remember her as their fun-loving "Auntie Lory". Her extended family included her sister in-law, Brenda; Larry's daughter, Lindsay (Michael); grandchildren Mila and Emma, who called Lory their Lola; and Larry's son, Brad. She is also survived by many dear friends and their families, whom she loved as her own. She leaves behind her precious weather dogs Lucky and Arnold.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday August 23, 2025, at Calvary Church, 16330 Los Gatos Blvd, Los Gatos CA.
