Lottie (Niezgoda) Winn (1927-2025) Lottie Winn, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and true patriot, passed away peacefully at the age of 98, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. Born in 1927,Lottie was a proud member of America's Greatest Generation. During World War II, she worked tirelessly building blimps and pontoons for the war effort-her way of contributing to something much larger than herself, even as she quietly balanced the demands of family life.
Lottie wore many hats over the years. As a devoted wife, mother, and caregiver, she nurtured everyone around her with boundless warmth and wisdom. Later in life, she worked for New York State for two decades. In her retirement years that brought her the greatest joy a grandmother and great-grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her pride and joy, and she loved to spoil them with laughter, guidance, and endless affection. Her family often described her as a "rock"-a steady presence who showed what it meant to work hard, care deeply, and love unconditionally. Whether it was her infectious laughter, her stories about the "good old days," or her unwavering support in every challenge, Lottie's legacy was one of love that made an impact on everyone she met. She had a way of making you feel seen, heard, and cared for, and her kindness was unmatched.
Lottie is survived by her daughter, Nancy Brown; her son, Steve Dombrowski; her granddaughters Sheryl Halcomb and Stephanie Stancliff; and her four great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts
