Lou Ellen Heard

Lou Ellen Heard, age 65, of Buford, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Terry Heard; mother, Donna Ruth Brown Edwards; brother, Jerry Edwards, Jr. Mrs. Heard is survived by her sons, Brad (Amber) Heard of Buford, GA, Jason Heard of Jefferson, GA; grandchildren, Chloe Heard, Addison Heard, Wyatt Heard, and Carter Heard; father, Wendell Emory (Janie) Nichelson of Rydal, GA; sister, Laurie (Bill) Morrison of Gainesville, GA; brother, Terry (Jennifer) Edwards of Winder, GA; mother-in-law, Dovie Moore Heard of Buford, GA; father-in-law, Winton Heard; sister-in-law, Julie (Danny) Pugh of Buford, GA.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Heard was born March 27, 1960 in Fairmount, GA. She was a 1977 graduate of Buford High School. Mrs. Heard retired from the City of Buford where she was a billing clerk in the Gas Dept. for 30 plus years. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Jefferson, GA. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. Robbie Black and Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
