Louis J. Coppola of Mahopac, NY passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the age of 76. He was born in New York City on July 31, 1948, the son of William V. and Mary (Perrone) Coppola.
Louis served in the US Army from 1968-1970, then in the Army Reserves until 1974. Louis was a carpenter with Local 149 of the Carpenters Union where he worked primarily on bridges. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and gardening. He was a deeply devoted son who fiercely loved and protected his family. In his retirement, Louis was routinely seen driving around town checking in with family and hanging out with his friends at the bait shop.
He is survived by his brother, William of Elmsford, NY; his sister, Marie Olivier of Mahopac, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews that he deeply cherished. He was predeceased by his parents and older brother, Anthony.
Per his wishes, private cremation services were held. His final resting place will be at his favorite fishing spot on the ocean.
In honor of our Uncle Lou, we ask that you spend some extra time with & buy a sweet treat for the little ones in your life as our Uncle always did with his family members & friend's children/grandchildren.
