He was a member of the Marion-Florence FFA. This organization furthered his interest in pursuing agriculture as a career. He earned his State FFA Degree. Lou graduated from Kansas State University in 1976 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. He maintained friendships with former football teammates and coaches. The family later purchased KSU football season tickets and traveled to bowl games to celebrate KSU’s football success.
