Louis H Neuville, born on September 17, 1935, to Arthur and Lena Neuville in Brussels, Wisconsin was born into eternal life on Weds, September 3, 2025, just before his 90th birthday. Lou met his lifelong sweetheart, Theresa Franda, at a gathering for eighth graders heading to Brussels High School. They were married after Lou's time in the Army.
Lou served in the US Army during the Korean conflict, graduated from St. Norbert College with a BS in History in 1959, then started his career at Sentry insurance and found his calling in sales. Lou eventually moved to Appleton to work at Fox Valley Harvestore. He then purchased and ran his own dealership, Dairyland Harvestore, in Slinger Wisconsin. He opened and operated a number of other businesses including Neuville Motors of Waupaca, George's Steakhouse, a John Deere dealership, a Real Estate business, R&L Construction, and Wisconsin Structures.
Louis and Theresa were married for 49 years prior to her death from cancer in 2005. They were blessed with seven children, seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Lou married Kitty Matenaer at age 80.
He is survived by his wife, his children: Julie Eidem, Monica (Pat) Rathsack, Ted (Patty) Neuville, Pete (Michele) Neuville, Joe Neuville, and Tracy (Chris) Karabelas, his grandchildren: Laura Eidem (Alex Jacobson), Karen (Matt) Ruhl, Amanda (Hunter) Anderson, Holly (Austin) Herrling, Cammy (Nick) Mompier, Brenna (Alex) VanRooy, Daniel (Jessica) Neuville, Carlene Neuville, Elizabeth Neuville, Ryan (Megan) Neuville, Connor Neuville, Kyle (Mollie) Neuville, Riley (Alexis) Neuville, Dimitri Karabelas, and Alex Karabelas.
He is also survived by siblings: Lee Neuville, Lon (Vicki) Neuville, Judy (Don) Olson, and Irene (Joe) Hucek, and sisters-in-law: Joanne Franda and Judy Franda, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa, his daughter Cathy, and his grandsons: Tyler Rathsack and Andrew Neuville.
A memorial service for Lou will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025 at SAINT BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W Pine Street, Appleton. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Appleton.
Dad's dementia took him from us before his death did. We will be forever grateful to the staff at Copperstone Memory Care and Moments Hospice. They cared for dad with compassion, dignity and good humor. Thank you for your support during his last days.
