Louis Edward Sergeant III

Louis Edward Sergeant, known to those closest to him as Lou, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and Marine, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at the age of 59. Born on August 3, 1965 in Havelock, NC, Lou lived a life full of love, laughter, great food, and great music with his family and community.
His kind smile and infectious sense of humor brought joy to everyone who met him and he never met a stranger. He was truly a shining light in the community. His colleagues, friends, and loved ones remember him as altruist who always had time to listen and offer a helping hand. He proudly followed in his father's footsteps, joining the US Marine Corps after graduating from Cal, earning the rank of Captain.
Lou is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Shannon, who was the light of his life, children Jenna and Jordan Sergeant, and nephews John and Ryan Moore.
He's preceded in death by his parents Louis Sergeant and Bonnie Gault Sergeant, and sister Tracy Moore. He also leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity that will be remembered by all who knew him.
A celebration of Lou's life will be held October 5, 2024 at 2:30pm at Creekside Christian Fellowship -Needville, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Fort Bend County Fair Association - Lawnmower races, in honor of Lou's dedication to the organization and many years serving on the committee.
Lou Sergeant's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. Semper Fi, Lou. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
