MONROE TOWNSHIP – Louise Silberman, a beloved Brooklyn girl, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Penn Med Princeton Health in Plainsboro at the remarkable age of 104.
Louise is survived by three daughters Anne, Doris and Eilene, two son-in laws Peter and Harold, Grandchildren Stacy, Amy and Zach, Great-Grandchildren Sofia, Asher and Kaia and a wonderful extended family including Mark, Jenna, Brian, Gabe, Zoey, Lara, BJ, Dylan, Alex, Mark, Belinda, Olivia, Seth and Rebecca as well as her two caregivers Rachael Brown and Pamela Simmonzs.
Born in 1921, Louise experienced an extraordinary century of technological and social transformation. She witnessed the invention of television, penicillin, cell phones, traffic signs, and lived through the presidencies of 19 different leaders. A true baseball enthusiast, she first cheered for the Brooklyn Dodgers and later became a devoted Mets fan. Louise was blessed with two marriages to Robert and Irving, creating a rich and full life story that spanned over a century.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 1:15pm at Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.
