Christine Silberman passed away June 25, 2025 at her home after a short battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Born in California on March 18, 1947. She was the daughter of Jeane and Louis Josephson. She grew up in California where she ultimately met Jack Silberman and soon the two got married and started a life together in Southern California. They would go on to have 3 children together.
Christine was a stay-at-home mom who devoted her life and time to raising, caring for, and supporting her children and husband. She would often volunteer at the schools as a classroom aid or even on field trips. She was good at what she did, she made us a better family and she always made us feel loved.
Christine loved to cook and did it very well. She also enjoyed sewing, crafting, and decorating.
In 1989 Christine and her family moved to the East Coast to live in Auburn, Maine. Her children went on to graduate from high school and develop lives and careers, and families of their own. As a grandmother, she was nurturing, loving, and created memories that last a lifetime with her grandchildren.
Later, Christine began volunteering at the Central Maine Medical Center in the gift shop. She enjoyed her time there very much.
Christine is predeceased by her husband Jack. She is survived by her son (Matthew), daughter (Nicole), and son (Adam). In addition, she has 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Christine is also survived by a brother (Louis) and a sister (Bobbie).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to The American Cancer Society or Andwell Health Partners who provided Christine with incredible Hospice care.
Per Christine's request, only the immediate family will be at the graveside for burial.
Arrangements are under the care of Albert & Burpee Funeral Home & Cremation Services 253 Pine St. Lewiston, 782-7201.
