Louise Celeste Stock

Louise Celeste Stock, age 92, of Caroga Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Mountain Valley Hospice.
Born on March 10, 1933, in Gloversville, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Etta (Hohler) LaRowe.
Family was the cornerstone of Louise's life. She was wed to her beloved husband, Robert Stock, on March 26, 1955, and together, they wrote a love story for the ages until his passing on June 24, 2016.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree and becoming a dedicated registered nurse, she spent most of her career at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. A faithful friend and a center of the fun, Louise found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed her trips to the casino where she shared good luck and playing card games with whoever would play them with her. Her lifelong friends, Cora and Myrtle, could attest to the uncountable cherished moments spent in her company, reinforcing the bonds of a friendship through the years. She will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and her smile that lit up the room. We are all beyond blessed to have had her in our lives for so long.
Louise is survived by her children, Deborah Subik, Judy Subik (Andrew), William Stock (Shelly), Timothy Stock (Stacia), Robert Stock (Sharon);15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Louise is predeceased by her grandson, Andrew T. Subik; brother, Theodore Larowe; son-in-law Steven Subik; and daughter-in-law Jennifer Stock.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
