Doris J. Heroth, a beacon of kindness and love, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Nathan Littauer Hospital.
Born on August 3, 1930, in Rockwood, NY, she was the daughter of the late Pearl and Julia (Duesler) Smith.
A devoted wife, Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband, Olen J. Heroth. They were married on June 26, 1948, and together they shared a lifetime of cherished memories until his passing on January 19, 2003.
Doris's life was marked by unwavering love for her family. She is survived by her children, Nancy Phillips (Duane), Bruce Heroth (Karen), and Todd Heroth; her sister, Laura Darrach, as well as her nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Heroth Gendron, and son, Chris Heroth.
A faithful member of the Emanuel Baptist Church, Doris's faith was integral to her life. She had a passion for spending time with her family, cherishing each moment they had together. An avid dancer, Doris could often be found lighting up the dance floor with her grace and the same loving energy she put into everything she did.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, with Pastor Peter Ellis officiating.
The interment will be held directly after at Ephratah Cemetery.
