LuAnn (Brass) Lewis age 64, formerly of the Sargent, NE area passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Arbor Care Centers of Ord, NE.

Private family service will be held at a later date.

LuAnn Edith (Brass) Lewis was born on October 26, 1960, in Sargent, NE to Orson “Jack” and Mary (Plock) Brass. LuAnn grew up in Sargent. She graduated from Sargent High School in 1979. After high school LuAnn lived in Kansas, Nevada, and Ohio working as a CNA. LuAnn received her associate’s degree and worked as a Medical Assistant to the doctor at Urgent Care.

In 2013, LuAnn moved back to Sargent and worked at Valley County Health Clinic until her health started to fail. She then was in the Cozad Care Home, then for a very short at Arbor Care Centers in Ord.

LuAnn was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Mary Brass, sister Gay Ash, and brother-in-law Tom Keefe.

LuAnn is survived by sister Brenda Keefe of Sargent, brother-in-law Jim Ash of Burwell, nephews and nieces JD (Steph) Keefe, Gage (Amber) Keefe, Jacki Ash (Chris Beran), Jayme (Nathan) Hawk, and Jill (Brandon) Ingraham, and great nieces and nephews.
