Funeral services for Mrs. Lucile Sasser Sayes will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Reverend Grady Dodge officiating. Interment will follow in French Cemetery, Effie, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mrs. Sayes, 84, Center Point, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, LA.
Lucile was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devoted member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Center Point. She enjoyed making jelly, canning vegetables, and gardening. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Sasser; one son, Hollis Ray Sasser; her parents, Walter and Veva Bond; and four brothers, Levi Bond, Eugene Bond, Thomas Bond, and Robert Bond.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband, Mark Sayes of Center Point; one son, Allen Sasser of Georgia; one daughter, Carol Gientz of Effie; four stepsons, Steven Lee Sayes of Center Point, Ryan Sayes of Alexandria, Mark Gonzales of Georgetown, and Donnie Sayes of Ball; one stepdaughter, Pamela Sayes of Corpis Christi; two sisters, Pam Wade and Evelyn Leblanc; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, from 9: 00 a.m. until time of service.
