Lucille (Marfeo) Hasney, 79, of Johnston, passed peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Hope Hospice Center in Providence, following a period of debilitating health. Widow of Leon Hasney, she was the beloved mother of
Nadine Di Petrillo & Deneen Stevens, both of Johnston, and the late Gail Messore. She also leaves four cherished grandchildren, four precious great-grandsons, and her dear sisters, Marleen Rossi and Charleen Sfameni, all of Johnston.
Born in Providence to the late Rudolph & Evelyn (Curria) Marfeo, she was raised in a loving and traditional Italo-American home, typical of the times. Hard working, industrious, caring, and faithful, she enjoyed her role as a homemaker and provided a good home for her family. In addition, she was an ambitious entrepreneur, owning and operating several retail businesses, including the former Unique Boutique. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church in Johnston. A 'charter member' of the Elvis Presley Fan Club, she was enamored by the entertainer and his music and treasured the experience and memory of her one-time chance personal meeting with him. She also enjoyed occasional casino visits and always looked forward to her annual escapes to Aruba, a highlight of every year!
At her request, Lucille's services & internment with her late husband at St. Ann's Cemetery in Cranston will be private. May they rest together in eternal peace and joy. Arrangements are entrusted to the Berarducci Home in Providence.
