Lucille Smith

Lucille Smith, of Lakewood Ranch, passed away February 21, 2026. She was born November 25, 1946, to Joseph and Genevieve Wroblewski. Lucy grew up in Chicago. She worked at Bell Federal Savings, retiring as Senior Vice President. Lucy loved to travel, whether it be by cruise ship or plane. Disney World was a favorite place to visit, especially when it was decorated for the Christmas season. She also loved traveling to visit family and friends whenever possible. Lucy will be remembered for her caring, generous spirit… and for her Easter "lamb cakes!" Lucy relished the simple things in life and always thought of others before herself. She was an absolutely adored aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She never missed a birthday or anniversary card for any of her large, extended family. Lucy was particularly close to her sister, Dorothy, who preceded her in death. Her love of others extended beyond her immediate family, volunteering her time and caring for children in need. Lucy is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Dan Smith; her son, Dan and her grandson, Tony, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
