Lucille Snail, of Jay, Oklahoma, passed away on August 15, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on November 4, 1955, in Jay, she was the beloved daughter of Lester Lyman and Jennie Cochran.
Lucille was deeply proud of her Cherokee heritage and took great pride in being fluent in the Cherokee language. Her spirit shone brightly through her hobbies; she enjoyed engaging in word finds and playing bingo, activities that always brought lightheartedness and connection with others.
Lucille will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Jimmy Snail and William Snail, as well as her siblings, Sammy Hogshooter, Esther Stopp, Rosella Lyman, and Connie Carroll. She also leaves behind four grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe "Woody" Snail, and her brothers, Rodney Lyman and Larry Lyman.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Lucille's life during visitation on August 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK. Funeral services will be Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location. Interment will follow at Black Fox Cemetery.
