Teresa Ann Aubrey, 82, departed this earth peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in her home surrounded by family. Born on August 19, 1943, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Teresa lived a full and vibrant life in Tulsa, Chicago, Houston, and Bartlesville before settling in Jay, OK.
Teresa was truly a force of nature- brilliant, witty, and strong. She had an endless love of history, a gift for interior design, and a passion for reading and learning. As the owner of Grand Telephone Company, she was sharp and skilled in business. Teresa was inducted into the Oklahoma Telephone Association Hall of Fame in 2015. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and Garden Club. Her true joy was in the simple things, though- like riding beside her companion JD in his truck and swapping stories and laughter. Above all, she cherished her family and embraced life with wonder and curiosity.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Aubrey; her mother, Mildred, and stepfather, Ralph Parrish; her sister, Jan Bass; and her beloved aunt, Norma Ruth Aubrey Holt. She was also preceded in death by her soulmate, JD Graham, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love.
Teresa is survived by her sister Gloria Hammond and husband Karl, of Spurger, TX, and by her brother-in-law Sam Bass of Colcord, OK. She is also survived by nephews Randall Hattox and wife Rachael, Anthony Ross and wife Kim, Joshua Ross and wife Jenny, and nieces Kim Hattox and Lisa Eddy and husband Eric.
She will be especially missed by her Graham family: Joe and Melani Graham, along with their children Tess, Dylan, and Cassi and husband Brian. Her wit, strength, and spirit will be carried on by those who loved her most.
A funeral service to celebrate Teresa's Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Jay, OK.
