Lucio R. Lopez, 80 of Plainview, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, in Lubbock. The family of Mr. Lopez will have a Visitation on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 4:00pm, followed by a Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00pm at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass for Mr. Lopez will be at 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview, officiated by Father Bill Anton. Mausoleum Entombment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Services are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.
Lucio R. Lopez was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on December 14, 1942, to Francisco Lopez and Esther Ramirez Lopez. On December 15, 1968, he married Vicky Campos in Mexico.
Lucio farmed for over 40 years of his life. He was a family man who cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his spare time, he would work on cars, watch novelas, rodeos and soccer. He enjoyed talking and joking with people and he loved eating sweets. He also had a good memory.
Lucio lived life to the fullest and those left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his wife, Vicky Lopez of Plainview, Texas; his children: Jorge Lopez and wife Veronica of Levelland, Texas, Edward Lopez and wife Nancy, Eric Lopez and wife Fatima and Lucio Joel Lopez, all of Plainview, Texas; his five sisters: Micaela Herrera, Virginia Lopez, Maria Segura, Sylvia Cedillos, and Alicia Lopez; his three brothers: Jesus Lopez, Armando Lopez, and Javier Lopez; his grandchildren: Giovanni Edward Lopez, Jonathon Lopez, Omar Lopez, Isaac Lopez, Jayden Lopez and Madelyn Lopez; and his great-granddaughter, Laila Rose Lopez, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Francisco and Esther Lopez; daughter-in-law, Lydia Lopez; his sisters: Seberiana Robles, Bertha Chavez; his brothers: Martin Lopez, Mario Lopez, Daniel Lopez.

Lucio R. López, de 80 años de Plainview, falleció el jueves 6 de abril de 2023 en Lubbock. La familia del Sr. López tendrá una Visitación el lunes 10 de abril de 2023 a las 4:00 p.m., seguida de un-Santo Rosario que se recitará a las 6:00 p.m. en la Capilla Conmemorativa de Lemons. La misa fúnebre para el Sr. López será a las 2:00 pm, el martes 11 de abril de 2023, en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en Plainview, oficiada por el Padre Bill Anton. Mausoleum Entombment seguirá en Plainview Memorial Park. Los servicios están bajo el cuidado de Lemons Funeral Home.
Lucio R. López nació en Chihuahua, México el 14 de diciembre de 1942, hijo de Francisco López y Esther Ramírez López. El 15 de diciembre de 1968, se casó con Vicky Campos en México.
Lucio cultivó durante más de 40 años de su vida. Era un hombre de familia que apreciaba pasar tiempo con su familia, especialmente con sus nietos. En su tiempo libre, trabajaba en coches, veía novelas, rodeos y fútbol. Le gustaba hablar y bromear con la gente y le encantaba comer dulces. También tenía buena memoria.
Lucio vivió la vida al máximo y los que quedan para apreciar su memoria y continuar su legado son su esposa, Vicky López de Plainview, Texas; sus hijos: Jorge López y su esposa Verónica de Levelland, Texas, Edward López y su esposa Nancy, Eric López y su esposa Fátima y Lucio Joel López, todos de Plainview, Texas; sus cinco hermanas: Micaela Herrera, Virginia López, María Segura, Sylvia Cedillos y Alicia López; sus tres hermanos: Jesús López, Armando López y Javier López; sus nietos: Giovanni Edward Lopez, Jonathon Lopez, Omar Lopez, Isaac Lopez, Jayden Lopez y Madelyn Lopez; y su bisnieta, Laila Rosa López, así como muchas sobrinas y sobrinos.
Le preceden en la muerte sus padres: Francisco y Esther López; su nuera, Lydia López; sus hermanas: Seberiana Robles, Bertha Chávez; sus hermanos: Martín López, Mario López, Daniel López.
